DIRECTOR’S BIO-FILMOGRAPHY

María Jáimez is an andalusian actress. She has a vast experience acting both in theatre and in the audiovisual field. She has been widely awarded for her role in the short film Un minutito by Javier Macipe.

Her debut as a film director was with Manolo Montesco y Carmela Capuleto, which is a documentary about her grandparents. She embarked in this project with quite a dream team formed by nothing more and less than 60 members of her own family.

In 2019 she received the Audience Award at the ALCINE49 Festival in Alcalá de Henares (Spain), as well as de Distribution Award in the Alcances Festival, in Cádiz (Spain).
