MARTA SELVA MASOLIVER
Marta Selva Masoliver. graduated in Modern and Contemporary History at UAB, Autonomous University of Barcelona. She worked as an associate professor at UAB (1993-2003) teaching Film and Television Theory and Analysis and she was also an associate professor at Rovira i Virgili University of Barcelona (2006-2016).
Moreover, she taught in the MA in Creative Documentary, the Graduate Diploma in Peace Culture and the Master Degree in Gender and Communication, all of them from the same university, UAB. She also worked in some occasions for Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona and UOC, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
She was co-director of the Drac Màgic, a cultural cooperative project from 1979 to 2017. She is currently co-directing the Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones (International Women’s Film Festival).
JAVIER MUÑIZ BRIONGOS
Javier Muñiz Briongos has been the director of the Soria International Short Film Festival for thirteen years. He has worked for more than thirty years in the promotion, broadcasting and organization of several events related to the cinema industry such as La Boca del lobo International Short Film Festival, the “Soria in Buenos Aires” cinema-themed week and the Cine a los cuatro Vientos Festival.
He is also the president and creator of La Boca Espacio de Cultura, a cultural association that relates to art and culture in all its fields.
Muñiz Briongos is the founder and secretary of the Coordinating Committee of Film Festivals in Castilla y León (FECCYL) as well as Community of Madrid Festival Association (FILMAD). He has received an Honorary Award by the Short Film Agency regarding his long career path in the industry, and he has participated as a jury member in several film festivals.
Marta Figueras has worked as a producer since 1996. Her first film as a producer was La Moños (1996), directed by Mireia Ros, that got the nomination for Best New Director by the Spanish Goya Awards and it was selected for international festivals like Festival de Mar de Plata and Chicago International Film Festival.
She has been involved as a producer in films such as Hotel Room (1998) by Cesc Gay, which was selected in the San Sebastián Film Festival and was given the “Alcances” Award for Best Film in Cádiz Film Festival; El Triunfo (2006), directed by Mireia Ros which was selected in the Panorama Section in Berlinale; and Game Over (2015) by Alba Sotorra, which received the Catalan Gaudí Cinema Award for Best Documentary Film and was selected in the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
In 2020 Figueras will make her debut as a director with the film Descubriendo a José Padilla. She has been a representative of the Women Media and Filmmaker Association (CIMA) since 2011.
